I was very fortunate to be invited as a guest speaker and facilitator for AIESEC LCUPM's Local Leadership Development Seminar in Pangkor Island. It is one of those events which I hate to miss. It is THE event that brings me closer to my already closest of friends and to meet new people. Talking about being crazy; there's no where else I'd rather be more crazy than in LLDS!
San San, myself and Raja... Raja and my friendship started in a toilet in Universiti Sains Malaysia. I forgot to bring my shower foam and so had to borrow some from him... and thus, we just clicked and got crazy =D
Vivien is one of the guys and she is asking us to treat her like a girl... I'm sorry Vivien. I guess we should =D Vivien and I went to a similar traineeship in Poland. I was glad that she decided to join in as one of the speaker and facilitator as well.
Jamie, Diana, Nicole, Yoke Git and err... Simon =D These are the people from the new board of AIESEC in UPM who made LLDS a sweet success. A bunch of wonderful people whom I have great respect and admiration for.
Crazy things they do... or what we call Creativity! It's amazing to see new recruits coming up with really creative ideas. It made everyone laugh, made everyone happy and more importantly, made everyone unite.
Of course we have the seniors who are always "Syiok Sendiri" =D We are so proud of that term that we affectionally calls ourselves that sometimes... haha!
People fall in love and out of love. It's all part and parcel of life... In AIESEC, we make it easier to happen... haha!
Something we always learn and practice in AIESEC - It's okay to fall down. There's no shame in it. Be ready, however, to rise again.
We all have different ideas and different approach. Teamwork is about putting all these differences together and make a winning combination. Sometimes in trying to get our message across, we forget to listen to what others have to say.
Not just for the guys... There's so much we can learn from the opposite gender. Winning is not just about brute strength.
Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. The question is, did you have fun?
3 days is all it takes for people to come together and form new friendships. If only the world works this way...
Strangers to Friends... We make it happen in LLDS!
