Hi Janice,
Pangkor's beach is like any other typical beaches. It is however, not those crystal clear beaches you find in Redang or Perhentian island on the east coast.
It is nice though in its own ways. It is cheap to stay, eat and travel in Pangkor. Prices of food and accomodation is reasonably priced. Some things are even cheaper than what you can find here in KL (amazingly).
Although not related to Pangkor...
