Photog Entry: My Godsis's Wedding

Both my brother and I was asked to be the official photographer for my godsis's wedding. It was held 2 weeks ago at the Lone Pine Hotel in Penang. The whole open-air concept was simple but so elegant. This was my first time experiencing a wedding dinner that breaks away from the typical traditional chinese-type big feast at a restaurant. Here are some pictures from the scene.

Cheers everyone! Posted by Picasa

I had a wonderful experience trying to capture the moments in this rare occassion. It is quite challenging though considering the lighting source is either too harsh in the afternoon or too dark at night. I also had to be constantly in lookout for any interesting moments that should be kept in memory. It is not easy as I am myself a guest there. I had lost a few good shots while indulging in the sumptuous dinner.

I hope you like it! =D

Photog Entry: Twin Rainbow

How many times in your life would it be possible to witness a twin rainbow? I've never seen one... till 2 weeks ago. I can see the double rainbow from just outside my apartment on the 8th floor. It is so beautiful and I couldn't resist snapping a few shots for my personal collection. Now, I share it with you...

Latest Haze Readings at 12.15 noon

I thought it'd be much better today. I was dead wrong. I could smell the burning sensation in my office. I have no choice but to move in to one of the vacant rooms. The smell is still there although it's a more subtle. Damn it... how long is this going to last?

The latest Air Pollution Index reading as of 12.15pm noon
Port Klang - 534 (Dangerous)
Kuala Selangor - 510 (Dangerous)
Putrajaya - 394 (Hazardous)
Shah Alam - 393 (Hazardous)
Petaling Jaya - 362 (Hazardous)

You can find the official readings of the API at http://www.jas.sains.my/jas/Air+Pollutant+Index.htm. It has not been updated though at the time of blogging.

Please try to stay indoors all the time, especially to those who have breathing problems.

Haze is Killing me softly!!!

It has gotten worse today! The Indonesians are making me f*cking pissed now! No, I'm not in the right mood to be "understanding" and "considerate". Even my whole office smells like we're in an incinerator. All the Indonesian minister can say is "I am sorry"? Oh yeah? Why don't you come over here and breathe the air along together with us? You dumbass minister! Don't just sit there and apologize you dumbass! Just clear this bloody catastrophe!

Look how Bad it is - to our HEALTH! Posted by Picasa

I have Indonesian friends as well and I don't blame Indonesians as a whole... but the culprits are ruthless murderers for claiming the forest as well as the health of thousands and thousands of people. I despise you and I hope you burn to death in the own fire you set out.

Konfabulator - Widgets for the PC!

What is a Konfabulator you may ask. I discovered it recently. It is similar to what you would find in the latest MAC OS - widgets. These widgets are somewhat informative desktop tools / gadgets that can range from date/time to weather report to currency converter and even to stock quotes. You can place them anywhere on the desktop.

Look at my desktop!!! =D Posted by Picasa

The Konfabulator has recently been acquired by Yahoo and is offered as a free product. It was previously priced at USD8o! It's good we have huge portals like Google and Yahoo offering "Useful" and "Free" products!

If you are interested, you may head on to http://www.konfabulator.com/ to download the software and widgets. Both Windows and MAC version is available.

Photog Entry: Portrait Capture 2

Here are some experimental portraiture photos that I took a few days ago. There are no impressive gadgets, no specialized lightings, no make up artist, no complicated lens, no impressive backdrops and certainly no studio. Only the photographer, the model, his D70 and a 50mm f/1.8D. The Nikkor 50mm is indeed a very sharp lens and works well in low light.

I hate Haze Day!

Darn! The haze is back once again. This is how bad it is from my apartment. I seriously hate the haze. I take a shower, go out and have my dinner and came back smelling like I had just smoked 2 packs of cigarattes! Why does it happen so frequently over here?!! This is becoming a common phenomenon here and it is just pissing me off! Posted by Picasa

Today, in the news, they mentioned that air quality around Klang Valley is "Unhealthy" and they urge the public to complaint to the Department of Environment (DOE) if people are found to practice open burning. My girlfriend's father has been complaining to the DOE until he is sick and tired of it! No action has been taken! So, what kind of bullshit is the DOE telling us?! I'm sick and tired of their complacency. I AM SO PISSED!!!

My girl has officially graduated on the 30th of July 2005. That's the date for her convocation in UPM. Her family and her uncle's family was there to witness the occasion. If you read the earlier post, you'd realize that I missed my convocation as I was in Poland that time. Read on and find out how I finally had my convocation as well.. =D

Buku means Belajar Untuk Ke University" (Study to enter University)... I am litterally Stunned! =D Posted by Picasa

Raja, like me, did not attend any convocation. He is seen here acting very "strangely" after wearing the robe he borrowed from Chee How! =D Posted by Picasa

And so, they decided to "dress" me up for the occasion as well... Okay... I look silly... say it! SAY IT! =D Posted by Picasa

Woohoo!!! I also graduate on this day!!! =D Isn't this truly a wonderful occasion? Posted by Picasa

No, Raja is NOT kissing me! =D It was so "Emotional"... (haha...) that I hugged everyone and thank them for coming to my convocation day!!!!! Posted by Picasa

Lots of thanks and gratitude goes out to Han who helped me capture some of the wonderful moments during this event!
