My Girl is Back!

Finally, my girl has returned home last Saturday. Together to receive her at the airport with her parents and myself are Raja, Chee How, Nicole, Simon, Boon Jian, Mac and Stephanie. It was so exciting and I couldn't stop smiling the whole way through.

Before I go any further, I would like to extend my most heartfelt gratitude to Raja and Chee How for being the photographer of the day, Simon for bringing the wonderful AIESEC banner, Boon Jian for fetching the rest to the airport with his car, Mac for always being there no matter where, Stephanie for trying so hard to get to the airport and finally, Nicole for wanting to be there even though she is sick. I cannot express how much this all meant to me. Thank you!

This was where we waited for her at the arrival hall in KLIA. Her flight due to arrive at 3.55am was delayed for 20 minutes. Posted by Hello

Steph teasing me about my girl's return... See? I couldn't stop smiling... Posted by Hello

San San's parents are also waiting patiently for her arrival while San San's mum is intrigued by how funny Raja is! =D Posted by Hello

Boon Jian (Red Shirt) and Mac is stoned! They just want to see San San... no more, no less! Posted by Hello

Chee How gets his sick Nicole something to eat... and was kind enough not to offer us any coz he doesn't want the germs to spread to us (and so, he can also have a bigger share! Haha....) They drove to my place at 3.20am! Now, these are what friends are for! Posted by Hello

And as usual, The King of Buaya had to buaya some girls while waiting. He came over to my house at midnight, watch a Korean movie "Arahan" to kill time, slept for an hour and then followed me to the airport.Posted by Hello

Simon and Mac is so excited for the return of San San... they just had to let the world know. Too bad, the airport was pretty quiet at that time... Hehee... =D Posted by Hello

Finally, about an hour later - 4.55am, San San came out to the Arrival hall!! Woohoo! Okay, I tried not to get too excited here... Posted by Hello

San San with her parents and her brother... Posted by Hello

About 5am, Edwin who was on a similar traineeship with San San came out... Well, he was out late coz he did some shopping! See? They have 24hours stores in KLIA... obviously you need an International flight ticket to visit those stores... hehee... Posted by Hello

Edwin seriously needs a good haircut. This is what a traineeship does to someone's hair! =D Edwin couldn't wait to give us some goodies! He's already showing us all the good stuff he has in store for us! Posted by Hello

We were merciless. We pounded and hounded on Edwin and made sure he handed us our deserved chocolate bars... Posted by Hello

2 Changed Agents! Indeed, a Once in a Lifetime opportunity... If you have never been to one, you should start looking for information... the best place to start is at http://www.aiesec.org Posted by Hello

A good end to a wonderful traineeship... Posted by Hello

I remembered San San telling me how wonderful the reception was when she first arrived in Galati (pronounced Galats) All these small details are very important in ensuring the success of a traineeship. Our return reception, although small, was also an important gesture to let them know that we care and we are glad they have returned safely.

I cannot express how happy I am that she is now back home in Malaysia. A lot of thanks, personally from me, goes out to the AIESECers in Galati, Sibiu, Brasov, Budapest, Prague and Vienna who have taken care of my girl while she was away. They all have been a wonderful bunch of people!
