Photog Entry: Beijing Architecture

I backpacked to Beijing late October 2004 and here are some photos of the amazing architectures found there. The pictures are all taken with a Sony DSC-F717.

Qian Men: F717, f/2.0

I attempted several shots on this building and only one appeared correct and sharp.

Forbidden City Entrance: F717, f/2.0

I love this shot... everything looks properly exposed and the night scene there is really beautiful.

Inside the Forbidden City: F717, f/3.6

There are many of such bridges linking different palaces in the Forbidden City. I particularly like this shot because of the perspective of the bridge that draws the viewer to the Palace.

Temple of Heaven: F717, (No EXIF Info)

One will always be amazed with structures like this. Entirely built on wood and no nails are used. The sky is clear that day and the cool breeze makes it easy for strolling.

Great Wall (Simatai Section): F717, f/4.0

The day was quite foggy... but this is definitely the greatest structure ever built. You must definitely stand on the Great Wall to appreciate its massiveness and its history that goes back a few hundred years ago. I would have prefered a wide angle lens to capture the images then but I only had a F717. Posted by Hello
